Even while grateful, it's best to limit what you share with someone unfamiliar - her character fits the generic heroine role so well that I can't blame 'er, though.
Well, time to hope she doesn't come to regret that decision!

Also, I like the princess already!
Thanks for the translations!

Part of what makes the LN good is the play between different personalities/archetypes. Unfortunately, the manga can't capture the complexities of that. (Not that it's super complex, but just that it's more complex than a manga can easily convey.)

Ayaka is very much the Shonen type, but shown with the realistic flaws of that type. E.g. she believes too much in the goodness of others. She's not cunning at all -- and in this world cunning is necessary.

The other classmates have their own strengths and flaws. The strong may have more flaws than you expect; and the weak may have more strengths than you expect. (Or they might not -- it varies.)

Was she always this dumb or is that the MC aura getting her to spill everything? Kind of disappointing
To be fair he did fly in at the eleventh hour to save them from certain doom. Nothing quite gets the guard down like that. Esp since she had been burdened with trying to lead the entire army as things fell apart around here she was extremely desperate and fighting a losing battle. I can hardly blame her for not even considering him a threat.

Man I really like this one but the chapters feel so damn short every time they are released. It kills me. Glad to finally see development happen and the MC getting to indirectly meet with the classmates again. Progress towards the revenge ehehe

Thank you LH as always for the top-tier translations!!

You read the same manga? She has more than enough experience to not trust someone instantly.
She's been plotted against by the goddess and by her classmates.
She's seen classmates abandon weaker classmates which is why she's sticking up for the weak ones.
It's easy to say naive when you know what it means to be naive. And she is naive. Loyal, brave, honest good person, but naive.

Isn't it precisely because she has been plotted against by the goddess and some classmates that she desperately wants to believe there are some good people around she can trust? Touka appeared out of nowhere to selflessly risk himself to save the day (in her eyes, that is). She must be imagining he's just like her: isn't doing it for personal fame and gain, but will do what it takes to save people and defeat the evil. That would make her drop her guard.

You know, in the world of politics, government, and business, people with decades of experience still fall for tricks by industrial/governmental spies or cyber criminals. Sogou is just a teenager with most of her life lived as a peaceful Japanese, even if she has got some cruel lessons of late.

ok things have calmed down and such.
i just wonder about the ones who escaped from the battle. these overconfidented idiots who thought that the monsters were easy exp. where are they? Dead, still on the run or captured?

Only way i can see her being hated is if she is tricked in to believing MC is a bad guy due to her stupidity/naivety and fight against him. Which is on par with shounen tropes and they usually get off scot-free without any consequences.

I did thats why i said minor side things from other people.
Some native people really tried to help her, she thinks bro is a native heroic guy so...

It would be naive if a classmate who treated her badly tried to apologise and she says; now we good dawg.
But we are talking about a guy who came to a battle no one dares to get in fighting a horde of monsters and went against the most powerful enemy there, i say again, pretty normal to consider the guy deserving of some answers.

Not to mention that the (masked) Hero figure is very widely pushed to the kids in Japan, just look at his disguise. This is the first time she feels like actually meeting a "in the flesh" hero, her reaction is pretty telling.

Makes me remember the Bank Owner that got scammed by a “young attractive business woman” for multiple million dollars over several months.
Scams are such a big problem because they work, even against people that think themselves steeled.

I'm with you on this one, I thought she'd learned from her past experiences with classmates that when its life or death not even people you've known for years can be trusted. Thats why I said it's disappointing before. Maybe dumb is a bit too much, but definitely naive.

The whole interaction felt forced to me, ruined her character out of nowhere. I hope its not just another infatuation and forced harem bullshit, but that'd explain the bad writing.

There's no harem in this Isekai, Seras is the only love interest.

(It doesn't mean there's no side lovestory though)
