That's one shieldy girl. And of course the archer is female. Because bows require dexterity, not strength. Just ask anyone using a 100+ lbs war bow. Also for non-armoured combat a weaker hunting bow is sufficient. And that boob armour's weirder than that.

Well, at least the adventurers are probably competent. Probably overcompetent, since they're all female.

Payment for an adventurer should probably be significantly above what you can live for, since they need equipment and usually don't have a stable home, which reduces costs for ordinary people. And it's usually dangerous work. Though this still seems high.

He knows science from our earth, thus he knows elements and the periodic table, which in turn lets him control "earth" or more specifically the minerals in the ground with far greater efficiency than somebody trying to brute force it which would in turn exhaust all their mana in one go and thus explain why earth magic has such a high cost compared to other magics when combined with earth's physical substance compared to something like air. Seems pretty simple and obvious to me.

A guy who knows and understands the periodic table is going to have an easier time controlling the elements than people who believe in phlogiston and that pigeonhole all elements as being either earth, water, air, or fire.

Where are you getting all this? Since when did the manga say that all children learn about phlogiston, whether they are noble or commoners?

And since when did the model of understanding directly affect the practical effectiveness of magic? It's not like people had the fundamentals of physics and buoyancy when they made seafaring boats out of singular tree trunks, or had microscopes and knew about bacteria when they made yeast and fermented goods.
