I'm beginning to wonder if we got hoodwinked by the bazonkas into reading a Japanese economics edutainment manga.

It appears that is the author's true passion and goal of this story going by what I have seen for now. The tiddies may just be there so we don't get bored.

I think author is walking a clever line. They're presenting layers about selling sexy images. There's the practical aspects of running a doujin business. We're seeing her body reduced to commodity fetishism, by seeing her cosplay in sexual fetishism. Also her real personality and motives for selling her body.

They're selling us a manga about selling pictures of tiddy, which means selling us pictures of tiddy. It's meta!

According to the last chapter, she is his cousin. So, it might be she is daughter of his aunt or uncle.

Some of the comments on her fake account are just downright creepy, but that's not really surprising given the fundamental thirst trap nature of gravure. If she's gonna do this, there's really no better time than now while she still has traces of her youth left, and time waits for no one. Good thing she's not that hard to convince considering how much Yuusei knows her.

I'm kinda impressed at how persuasive and sly (maybe even manipulative) Yuusei is being when it comes to cajoling Sumire into doing this doujin gravure gig. Spineless is not a word I'd use to describe him. We know from the end of last chapter (like the oneshot) his motivation, so at least his heart is in the right place. He wants to see his beautiful cousin shine again and be the star she was always meant to be.

So Sumire wants a Honda CBR. That's a sport bike line, those are meant to be cool and that perfectly matches her cool older girl style (potential) which Yuusei is trying to help her achieve. Even in older stuff I've seen it's always the cool older girls with the cool bikes. Once she actually gets that bike they could probably even incorporate it into some shoots and make even more money with it.
