That was really hard to read because like Yui said earlier, he had all the makings for a happy life with Haruka. Their families are close, they've known each other for a long time. They have a lot of ingredients that Yui lacks. In another manga they would have been happy together. I think it was important that they do date though, despite how they ended up. Both of them learned a lot from it.
