Man, I reread this thinking I was mistaken about the terrible ending, and that perhaps I missed some chapters on the EG scans website when reading a few years back. Perhaps I didn't actually finish it like it I thought. Nope. This "ending" was as confusing and disappointing as when I first read it. It definitely felt like it was axed.

hey this sounds weird to reply to 4 years after and all but it was also done 6 months after my comment so never noticed it to begin with having said that,

Yeah you might not remember because of how long ago it was but this series came out around the same time as Food Wars and other food centered manga and anime came out I always thought this one was leagues above it but apparently everyone thought otherwise and it was to similar to survive so yeah it was axed I think it became obvious after Beelzebub showed up and did nothing that we were probably going to see an axe
