Help remembering a title

I have been looking and asked friends for help but so far I cannot find what I'm looking for. The premise of the series was that a normal guy from modern times was offered the chance to travel to a different world and run a bookstore/library, the catch was that he was making a deal with some sort of elder eldritch being. In his new store, he has all these normal seeming books to him but when other people enter they see all of these powerful or rare books that have powerful secrets at a price. There are a few people he ends up meeting that become regulars for him including an old mage that is powerful but also wanted and a young lady (non-human iirc) that is trying to avoid assassins when they meet. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
