It's not the most dangerous, just the most troublesome on that floor because it's tough to damage and keeps respawning even if you beat it. That's why they're there to test the spell on it; because its slow speed and high durability make it a great punching bag so long as you don't get cocky and make sure to keep dodging its attacks.
