Real medieval cities never had to worry about monsters, so bigger walls would make sense in a fantasy setting. Especially if magic can help to build them.

3rd angel was even less of a threat with most of the fight happening offscreen? Man, this chapter was too short.

The king made a good show last time looking like he was committed to using the jewel to save his kingdom, but will he actually sacrifice his life or perhaps one of his children? I wanna see that trump card being used, it's gonna become useless anyway if only their royal family can use it, because I don't think Her Majesty's Swarm is gonna spare anybody here.

but real medieval cities were also on top of the hills, so it was 10-12 on the inside but efectivelly was much higher from the outside.

I read the novels too, yeah there's no real world building it's all just slaughter and some minor tactics.
