I'm sure the author of the LN probably had him envisioned to have actual tanned skin but the publisher for the manwha probably wanted him to have a lighter tan to not run the risk of possibly losing out on viewers because he wasn't appealing enough.

You Yu missing every hint is to be expected, arguably the really surprising thing is how subtle she's been in her hints . . .

Except that I think that's because she's still not really sure how she feels, so it's less her being subtle and more her being totally focused on Chi Tang but also just naturally very quiet and gentle and caring.

Which is, frankly, the thing I like most about this series - there's no angst in their relationship, the only misunderstandings are external, and the only uncertainty is exactly what kind of feelings they have for each other. Truly, a panacea for the soul . . .
