No way she'd get that drunk on a single can of beer, sadly . . .Drunk You Yu will get in bed with Chi Tang right?
i remember having to drink Asahi beer, it has really low alcohol content(i had 7 full beer-sized mugs), no wonder after-work drinkers like that beer. it feels dry to drink but it tastes better than the ones they offer in europe. No way she'd get that drunk on a single can of beer, sadly . . .
Also, not all beer tastes the same, but as far as I can tell it all tastes nasty - cider is far better, if you want something like that. Or you could be an actual adult and have some scotch.
. . . but not until you're past legal drinking age, of course.
it's a cliche that some characters are such lighweight that even a drop of alcohol touching them gets them drunk, of course she could just lie about being drunk too to get into Chi Tang bed.No way she'd get that drunk on a single can of beer, sadly . . .
to be fair beers tend to be on the cheaper side of alcohol no? unless you go for like the actually expensive stuff, but even then beer is supposed to have a certain kind of taste, so it's no surprise some just don't like it at all. Also, not all beer tastes the same, but as far as I can tell it all tastes nasty - cider is far better, if you want something like that. Or you could be an actual adult and have some scotch.
as if youth cares about that. . . but not until you're past legal drinking age, of course.
Wasn't it mentioned previously that's You Yu is actually experienced with alcohol, having grown up in a farming village where giving kids rice wine is common? I think during the stay at Chi Tang's grandmother's place...it's a cliche that some characters are such lighweight that even a drop of alcohol touching them gets them drunk, of course she could just lie about being drunk too to get into Chi Tang bed.
To be fair, the attitude toward underage drinking (or drinking in general) in East Asia is fairly lax. They probably would receive a stern warning if getting caught the first time. Same as smoking.thanks for the translation!
xingxings quite the lax class president, not even caring about the risk of getting caught
I forgot that detail lolWasn't it mentioned previously that's You Yu is actually experienced with alcohol, having grown up in a farming village where giving kids rice wine is common? I think during the stay at Chi Tang's grandmother's place...
Right, normally that's a rare situation, so I guess it wouldn't have same weightShe's also had plenty of experience sleeping with Chi Tang (in the same bed, because that's all they had), so climbing into bed with her isn't quite as exciting as it might be in other stories....
Eh, you never know, she still could purposely lie about being drunk to go snuggle with Chi Tang, I do think the series is lighthearted enough for thatThis really isn't the type of story that uses those kinds of tropes - it's far too serious. Beautiful and heartwarming, yes, but serious.
