Hm it fells like we missed an chapter because they jumped the first talk/reunion of You Yu and Chi Tang, the whole scene with the mother i think was supossed to be a little longer but it was barely 3 panels (the mother also barely appears in her life after all, so it kinda works i guess). If someone read the novel couold youu tell me if the scene is a little better paced there?

...This is missing a detail from the novel. The reason meat made her vomit is that, every time she sees or eats meat for months, it reminds her of the dead body she saw, so she's vegetarian for awhile.

The mother is actually garbage not just as a mother but a human being your literal daughter witnessed a murder and was held captive by her murderer father for at least two days and you can't even be bothered to stay with her are you joking even a stranger would probably be more concerned than she was after this incident
