An earlier commenter (
@HmmSectFounder) brought up the issue of the MC's name already, but I think it is still worth explaining to the average reader here. At this point in the story, one already knows that the sect leader dislikes sword cultivators intensely (Ch.5), and we find out here that the MC was named by that very sect leader. Chinese names in real life are normally interpreted poetically, but those in stories are often related to the character in a more literal manner. In this case, the MC was literally named "don't love swords".
To make matters even more interesting, when the MC first tells his own name to the girl in the original raws, he stumbles and accidentally mispronounces his family name, the character for "don't", as that for "demon", before correcting himself. This mistake would have turned his name into "demon love swords". One cannot see this in the translation, because both Chinese characters for "don't" and "demon" are translated phonetically into "mo" when no tonal marks are used. It is not clear if the author intends this to foreshadow some future plot point, but it might be worth keeping in mind as the story develops.
