cant surprise back stab our mc anymore! hes learned that's a (very very common) thing in these worlds. what move did mo do anyways? was that snake/mouse scene like a rep of the move? if he had any evil in his heart the snake would've done something more like getting that guy to regress? fucking scary.

I'm very confused with some of this story. Why has the cat suddenly gain sentience and where is he getting all these new techniques i can only guess somehow the ancestor possessed the cat but I would of loved to even hear about it.

@Mangareader yeah I think this memories got erased but maybe the snake is only symbolic to show their position in the food chain.

I think the snake is quite fitting for the MC, he doesn't stereotypically goof around

The cat is the 'Ghost swordsman' that nearly offed Lil Mo (he is also the Swordsman that ended the Clans golden age when they decided to off him.)
As for the how, it's due to the Memento of Mo's mother which absorbed the fella.

@greyleaf i dont think so. Because the kitty/Ghost swordman himself said he can regain his former power by consuming demonic beast ghost etc. So any mystical and cultivation related things that can make him really grow not fighting off bandits

I don't think Mo used some sort of memory wiping technique, i think he only blasted the old fool with ki and as the guy was a total scrub this affected his mind. The serpent and mouse are just a representation of the other guy's fear.

Little Mo's techniques until now can be traced a little, so i don't think he is just pulling those from his ass, he has been learning but it is off-screen some times.

@mangareader it seems like the MC’s keepsake from his mom protected him with a blast of sword aura that killed off the spirit. That probably wounded it badly that it had to take refuge in whatever demonic creature that was available.
