I've been reading a little more wuxia after seeing the light in this one. In the past, I got turned away by things like "tales of demons and gods" and generic power fantasy porn. Any recommendations for more well-written things like Heresy?

Check out Song of the Skywalkers and Blood And Steel. Most other wuxia/xianxia manga I've come across are not at this level.

and damn. this is a tough tough decision for the little kid.

@ceena both song of skywalkers and blood & steel are good. b&s is really good. tangentially i might say "Living with One Leg" also sort of related but Yongbi is great (more comedy in it) and similar id say Ruler of the Land too, Tiger x Crane is more shounen but still pretty good.

@kazamakj He didn't have control. The cat could've stolen his body if he wanted, but he didn't. That's why Mo's surprised and angry. The entire situation grew out of his control.

@paalia This is the tension brought about when you're constantly debating trusting an inherently untrustworthy being. Are they tricking me? Are they not? We couldn't know if he's been tricking Mo the whole time until Mo actually took the dive. This reveal that the sword cultivator is trustworthy (for now) came a lot earlier than I expected it would. There are stories like A Practical Guide to Evil that spend multiple books building up this question of "Is it all just an elaborate lie?"

@Zaxas Thanks for answering that question. The answer however leads to other questions, like why? Also there is still Mo's mother who gave him that keepsake with sword aura that killed off the spirit.

@ceena Ditto on YongBi the Invincible and Ruler of the Land; Gosu (by the YongBi writer) is great, but is on hiatus due to health reasons (this killer manga/manhwa industry...), Mt. Hua Reincarnation (Volcanic Age for some reason?) & Scholar's Reincarnation are pretty good (obviously) reincarnation types... Peerless Dad? Red Storm (though it is almost a cross between a xianxia and a western fantasy feeling)? I'm liking Yeon Lok Heum so far, though it's a bit "Mito Komon..."
