I just love this author's art style, he makes the background foggy but believable and three dimensional but never spares effort in the details of his characters.

Mo has much more feeling than i gave credit, you could call him a fool for thinking and act like that in his type of world, but at the same time, most people are constantly acting like douches and most of them don't advance much. But even so, the author still gives much of the characters some depth, until most of those that appeared had a reason for the way the act.

The bear-like dude is weak to alcohol, didn't expect that.

I like how this manga tackles the whole issue of hating a demon or monster or anything not human just cause they aren't human and hunt humans. Always found it very tiring how humans are always right, everyone else is wrong when hunting/surviving, so hope to see more of it going forward.

The phrase "You're not wrong, you're just AN ASSHOLE." springs to mind. Yes, killing to survive is a thing. Killing in self defense, killing to eat. However, if you kill in wanton excess in disregard for the feelings or existence of your prey you're kind of an asshole. Killing and eating a shark? fine. Fishing up sharks, cutting off their fins and then releasing them to get torn to bits while they flounder and bleed to death? Asshole. Eating some jerk-asses who tried to force themselves on you? Fine. Killing a bunch of random people and orphaning their kids to make a bad point? Asshole. Oversimplifying the morality of it to "oh you killed a chicken for soup so as a now sapient divine bird girl it's completely fair for me to randomly massacre some townspeople for no fucking reason" is fucking tiresome. Generalizations rationalized by completely stripping out scale and context are for idiots.
