This manga is very dark. It reveals the true nature of the higher-ups and the plot of their own behaviours.

Lame, just when I thought we were going to get a story about a cool dad trying to be a hero for his son, we just get another generic anime boi Mc to add to the bunch... should have known that since this is from shonen jump....

So far it's fine. My only issue is that the twist is not very good, Why kill the dad??, he was going to die either ways by the drug and even though the mech was disposable why destroy it if they are already having problems with resources?? that was just so cartoonishly evil, I can't take it seriously. It just seems that they are trying to make an edgy "military-bad" revenge story that, OF COURSE since it's shonen, takes place in a school.

They should at least not revealed who killed his dad and kept the mystery up.
Just show a panel of characters off screen discussing the whys and then save the reveal for later, the twist could have paid off but I guess they need short term interest to get people to read this.
Shame.
