Thanks for the scanlation, but I wish there's more. Maybe an epilogue?

There's probably gonna be an epilogue. This was a decent ending itself IMO, but it just feels like there's still gonna be an "after 5 years, she's returning home"-type of deal.

Basically, love made that plane turn back. Thanks to SF's characters.

Fitting ending.

No epiloge, nothing extra in last volume.

Was in the news that the mangaka is preparing an spinoff staring Koharu some years after final chapter, i think they said mid of the 2000's

Imma go ahead and establish my own head canon where the flight didn't actually take off until after the two meant, and he caught her just in time before she entered the airport.

The ending was too heavy and melodramatic. He was basically prposing to her, talk about gamer cringe compilation.

As cliched and generic of an ending as one can expect from this extremely generic and cliched nostalgia porn.

My headcanon is that he got into an accident on his way to the airport and everything after that was just his dream.

Yeah it was melodramatic and kind of cheesy, but hell if I didn't cry anyway.

NEED AN EPILOGUE. Even a couple pages showing they got married eventually, because Oono's parents want to arrange her marriage too.

Wow, that was a bittersweet ending, and it was shockingly appropriate for how the story has unfolded. After watching over them all this time, it really manages to hit the right notes. I'll miss this series, I never thought it would be so emotional when I first picked it up, but it worked. There's still the spinoff, so I hope to get more of that goodness from it.

Absolutely a masterpiece manga. One of the greatest I have ever read. I am truly honored to be with Harou from start to end. Guile's silence and fading away in 61 was devastating. The reversals of momentum from 60 to 63 were perfectly executed emotionally shattering. I rarely cry from manga but when I do it is because it was a grand and sincere journey; Harou rose from dirt and became heroic. 99/10.

Oono beat Harou not to close the chapter on their rivalry but because she knew his fighting spirit would never let him give up, and he would wait for her to return again one day knowing he would meet and challenge her again. She defeated him because she knew he would always remember her and finally find her someday to win, just like when they were middle schoolers. I love it when story comes full circle like this. Once again, absolute masterpiece manga, beautiful and poetic and outstanding use of game characters as imagery to boost impact of emotional development. God bless you, Major Guile.
