And.... there's an act on her side as well. She's not as repressed as she projected; her act ws in response to his act.
She doesn't want a macho man who resorts to violence when there really are other options. She likes a guy who helps others, who is kind and considerate.
And she wouldn't mind kissing him some. Maybe more than that, but no need to rush. But it's an option now, where it wasn't while they both acted as they thought the other desired.
