Can't deny that I'm a bit disappointed, but guess we need to drag it out to extend the chapter count.

How interesting. The romantic interest is running away after piling on the pressure and scoring a confession.

Kudos to the main character. The usual suspects would've bailed or flaked out some which way or another.
