Despite the protagonist putting on a face and thinking cocky at the start, he's pretty sympathetic (I can't help but be sympathetic regarding a person who was called "Doctor Sex" in elementary school and got betrayed partly because of that). I think the basis of the relationship between him and the heroine was also well established in this chapter. And the art-- especially the eyes-- are striking, as expected from this mangaka.
i just wanna say that i had little faith in an english tl coming soon so i read a spanish tl, makes me really appreciate this gettin picked up
i fucking hollered when i saw the girl from ioris yaoi oneshot holding a dildo btw, seeing the black-haired dude made me pause too
What was disgusting about Inu to Kuzu?
Pretty decent manga overall, with the author's trademark awesome drawing style.
Happy to see this new one being translated too, thanks OP!
What's disgusting about that comic is how at the center of the drama in there is that pretty psychopath fuckboy toying with others emotions and relationships for his own amusement and how the other characters still have him in fond memory at the end. He literally NTR'd his "buddy" in high school just for personal laughs. And yet the author tries to gaslight the reader into believing that he is some sort of poor misunderstood melancholic. Disgusting. But Dog and Scum ended up well.
Is it that the author tries to gaslight the reader into seeing him as a "poor misunderstood melancholic", or is the fleshing out of his character what leads to that? What's disgusting about that comic is how at the center of the drama in there is that pretty psychopath fuckboy toying with others emotions and relationships for his own amusement and how the other characters still have him in fond memory at the end. Complex and juxtaposed impressions of their own shortcomings? That they think fondly of the manipulative bastard who played with them for ages? Sounds like more gaslighting and now victim blaming to boot.If it's the former on account of how the other characters think of him, why isn't that just a reflection of their characters and the reality that their impressions of them are both complex and juxtaposed with their own shortcomings?
That's not what I said, and I can't decipher what you are reciting.Complex and juxtaposed impressions of their own shortcomings?
1. Is it impossible for you to simultaneously think that someone was an asshole but acknowledge their struggles and the fact that they died by some mundane yet fatal freak accident? The narrative doesn't even beg you to feel sorry for Shuuji, nor does it gloss over his wrongs. Reika opines that he probably would have died young at any rate, perhaps being done in by a vengeful woman he played with. Another woman he played with went insane with her obsession over him. The extra chapter has him supposing that he brought his death on himself. All that and more-- how is this the gaslighting you speak of, as opposed to an undermining of a two-dimensional villain impression that still doesn't exonerate him? That they think fondly of the manipulative bastard who played with them for ages? Sounds like more gaslighting and now victim blaming to boot.
Are you sure you missed the undertones where the author softly implies that Shuuji alsoMy name is Shuuji and I'm a gorgeous 10/10 narcissistic psycho. I have a best friend I keep around simply for my own amusement.
