One is the fundamental traits of autism is that autists take in and process more sensory information that allistic folks. This can cause a lot of sensory issues with texture sound and light! But it also causes us to notice all kinds of things that others might miss! It's both a great strength and a great difficulty.
Honestly even with all the difficulty, I wouldn't have it any other way. Every experience is such a rich tapestry! I have sunglasses for when light is pokey, and noise canceling headphones for when sound is belligerent, and I buy only comfy clothes so my skin feels happy. I care about everything I interact with, and I love that. 🥰
