I feel like this manga is a pretty good representation of "What would you do if you became young again with memories of your life intact."

You could make amends for relationships, you could face traumas, you could do so much more with the knowledge of maturity and having a perspective you weren't equipped with when you were younger.

I like this Manga a lot and can't wait for more!

This manga is a touch too much optimistic and positive....
Every single asshat that pops into frame, they get converted into a good boy / MC fanatic by the next chapter.

It's so positive, and everything works out for the MC so much, that it REALLY feels like it's all a dream, and she's still slowly bleeding out as an adult, down that bridge, alone.
I really need from this author some form of divine intervention, where they bluntly point out how she time warped in a legit way. I feel like it has to be addressed in this case.

I remember dropping this like a month ago and I still heavily remember why I got bored of this manga so quickly. I kinda forgot about it until now so only now will I write why.

It's TOO POSITIVE. How would that be a bad thing exactly? What I mean is that literally EVERYTHING is going the way she wants it to be, everything is going the good way. You can't even think for a second that something wrong is going to happen. You'd expect a "failure" like this to have some difficulty in adjusting and talking to people right?

WRONG! There's barely any conflict whatsoever. If there is conflict, it usually gets resolved so quickly to the point that you're left with wondering what even was the point. It's on the same level as fanfiction, except the fanfiction got a serialization somehow.

It COULD be good. But, it's not.

Indeed.

Keeping it rational, there has to be a way to explain this, expecially since the time travel wasn't really needed to tell the same story in almost the same way. Her "second run" diverges from the first one sooo fast that her knowledge from before is almost never important after chapter two. But her character is, passivated at first but shining as soon as she starts to interact with the people around her. As such the story could have been just about a successful high school debut after a mobbed Chūnibyō middle school life.

There was a suggestion in this thread that she's still under that bridge and bleeding out.
Altering this idea somewhat:
  • Let her be found in a critical state and put into a coma (she thinks so herself, ch1.p26).
  • The coma has AI assisted input to keep her brain active, based on the information the AI finds in her brain.
  • (It's 2027, why not?)
  • She has many regrets, so the AI lets her relive her high school years like in a dreamstate.
  • AI feedback is only positive of course, assisting her self-healing powers via positive basic attitude.
  • As a result, the whole manga is 100% positive healing, comparable to GTO.
When she wakes up from her coma, 35 year old Izumi will be there.
But unfortunately he's married and has three kids...

This is a heartwarming story about high school kids fixing their various communication-based troubles, thanks to the help of our returner MC and her fear of her own past regrets. I really like it, it’s comfy. But i think it would push the main characters more if they encountered a problem that wasn’t so easy to fix. Difficult family circumstances, abuse, criminality, or just a more extremely warped personality. Something to really perturb the characters and see how they act under pressure. Maybe something to bite Kanba back, an event where her kindness gets her into real trouble. No violence because that doesn’t fit the story as anything other than maybe a tragic backdrop, but something with consequence all the same.

I might be projecting Monogatari or Oregairu onto this story.
