I KNOW RIGHTTT
ALSO ITS SO HARD TO MEET LINK CLICK FANS AHFNAJSNJCJSKALANZNA

LC is literally such eye candy and has such an awesome ost
And i swear i would die for wu guang or cheng xiaoshi
And the plot is soo good
It's been a while since I watched such a good series
Cuz like once i watched ep 1 i couldn't stop watching lol

And also if I'm not mistaken the LC manhua and donghua follow 2 separate stories right??
I LOVE both the OP and ED. I break out into song whenever I see the album cover 😭. My first time watching it, whenever I had to get up and socialize, it was near IMPOSSIBLE to get me to stop smiling because I was thinking about whats going to happen next. Justice for emma

The manhua has the same type of feel to S1 episodic stories, but theyre different stories. I think its both in the same time line too, just covered ones we didnt see in the donghua. ALSO, didnt know if you knew, but theres also a live action Link Click! Completely different timeline. It def has a different feel from both but as far as ive watched, its good. Maybe 8.2/10.

Istg i dont understand anything anymore
Hi hii I want to give my two cents, people as they do are trying to fit things into boxes, something must be one thing or the other which really does not work with a story whose whole theme centers around not only the complexities of the human identity but also of love and affection. point being Hikaru and Yoshiki's relationship is incredibly nuanced and messy, it's not quite romantic, not quite platonic, not quite sexual but it's a fluctuating thing that the two of them are figuring out as they change themselves and their perceptions of each other, especially yoshiki's of "hikaru" as he is still grieving his friend.

and yeah people are having a hard time grasping this without simplifying it into something bite size but to boil it down as just gay lovers or best friends is irritating to see, but it's less so homophobia and more so internalized shame regarding sex/sexual exploration (but yeah this problem is literally exclusive to tiktok, the most minuscule micro climate of people so it's not something i really care about in the long run)

Haha
You actually summed up most of the comments me and another person posted in this thread.
You worded it waaaay better than I did.

Also, when I said I said I didn't understand anything, it was mostly just the simple question of
"Gay or not gay?"

And you can read the earlier comments in this thread and see why I was so confused.

Forgive me If I'm not making any sense right now, I just woke up.

this manga actually deeply affected me
i often throw around the phrase “altered my brain chemistry” when it comes to fictional works but the characterization of hikaru and yoshiki are actually too good. author isnt just a master of psychology but also show dont tell - the panneiling and even the use of sfx to sound suffocating - the translation of that into the form of visual art is so impressive

ALSO THE ART IS SO GOOD? its one of the most consistent ive seen - from the end to the beginning. the characterization through the nuances of preferences down to clothing and even skin tone and expression is soo UGHHHHH
this initially reminded of summertime rendering and strangers by the sea but the depth of this is actually on another level (the other 2 series are still really good but as someone who really values character driven stories this is amazing)
