I said it sells when it comes to ero manga, I actually have no idea how's the market for it in the mainstream manga scene.

In the case of this series though, I guess Ooi Masakazu was bound to make it sooner or later, always got the impression like his past works would mix well with NTR/swinging themes.

Sure, it may be trending now, but there's always been and always will be a market for NTR content. I really can't see it ever overlapping with Okusan, because the divide seems to be a heavy bold line crafted by Ooi Masakazu explicitly - one is a wholesome and comedic story centered on a married couple in permanent newlywed status and preparing for welcoming a baby into the fold, the other is kink indulgence by two couples who are, themselves, part of the very environment where NTR content is popular.

Simply put, they're aimed at two different audiences, but both do very well in consumption.

But I personally never saw it that way, i was really happy with his normal stuff specially since most romance manga to me are kind of a waste of time and cock teasing, they end at the confession stage, and we never see the characters dating, let alone living married.

They are 2 different manga, yes, and this is certainly him trying something different, but why this specific indulgence?

As an author his trade mark was already wholesome manga, this is already a big enough divide that he crossed anyways. What is really sparing us from him to not cross the line again, when he already ended his other happy married couple series and is currently serializing these 2 at the same time? specially when he likes to make cross overs in universe, he can perfectly send us in a ride and have Kyouko or Da-san end in a swinger circle, if it means that he will turn profit (assuming that NTR has grown to that point and it is the reason behind this).

So, do they? do both genres do well in consumption? ins't NTR the one that brings the bread home? how can you assure that, when people say otherwise?

Again i personally don't believe it.
