Why not? The thought process behind its creation is something only the author knows but whether it's because is in vogue or it sells or whatever, I'd rather read this than "I got reincarnated as a vacuum cleaner in a fantasy world" for the umpteenth time. You seem worried this might become a recurring trend in his future works or even his other ongoing series and I have no idea why.
Even in ero manga is really common to find artists who tend to publish vanilla stuff on mags but also make doujinshi with cheating/NTR contents, it's nothing new.

It all comes down to you preferring cuckolding to recycled isekai stories, which is irrelevant because this author was not doing recycled stories, in fact he was doing something quite rare with his works the portrayal of married life, the managing of bar in an asteroid at the edges of the solar system, etc.

Compared to his other works, this particular swinger manga is not showing us anything new, it is the start of a college sex club (which granted is just chapter 7, who knows where it goes from here), but so far is quite cliche.

It's not an "idea". Just go to DLsite or DMM and look at their top ranked ero products, a lot of them are NTR works. Also, NTR =/= cuckolding, but that is a can of worms I refuse to open.

Ask that to Ooi Masakazu. We can only speculate what lead to the creation of this series (artistic preference, market demand, editors request, etc.), but ultimately only the author really knows.

He's doing the very same with this series. To be completely honest I don't recall that many mainstream manga (read: not porn) tackling these kind of themes, especially coming from an established artist like Ooi Masakazu.

Again i would have to go with your word in here, but this doesn't sounds new at all (but then again just 7 chapters), apart from the fact that it is coming from Masakazu.

You are absolutely right, but i want to understand why he is going down this route, and i do kind of hope for a twist. That's reason enough for me, to get clarity out of this puzzling situation, also that i am still in shock of seeing this happening, that Masakazu out of all people is the one doing this.
