this manga is so weird

this chapter starts a meta commentary on harem tropes and how harem MCs have no core personality besides being nice

but then it develops the main character stuggles to maintain a healthy distance with his female friends now that he's in a relationship, which is a reasonable thing to do considering he was to the point of near codependency with some of them because he was predestined to be a harem mc

but fate is steering events back in a way where he feels like he's emotionally cheating on his girlfriend because he cannot resist his pathological nature of self worth being tied to his ability to maintain the happiness of others

and then it goes back to all the female characters having intimate emotional moments with him and also his aunt with incestuous feelings for his deceased harem protag father smooshes his face into her boobs

the parodying of genre tropes to create believable character conflict is a strangely artistic low-concept writing decision. it's like the author stops gooning every 5 chapters to drop a deeply philosophical thought and then his brain turns off again

you're not the only one here, even I kinda forgot what is the relationship between characters or when they got introduced into the story

this is relatively common problem with manga that went through long inactivity between updates, re reading again just to catch up is pain
