Hmmmmm, suddenly i feel like either naomi or yuzu actually also not kazuomi's child but a child which he took fall for... Kazuomi legit sounds like a laid back good guy
Unfortunately the non blood related route is looking more and more likely.
The line "even if someone you love betrays you, that doesn't make the values and beliefs you loved any less true" on page 13 kinda sounds like it's coming from experience, and the obvious culprit would be Yukari (his first love?).
In reality they are actually feudal lords lol. Search for daimyo. Well, in modern days they all hide their ass, pretending the US came and destroyed all the hierarchy, but if you look deep enough you will see they are still there hoarding all the resources.
Different topic. All billionaires hoard resources and throw their weight around, but that's not the same as supposedly going after a grown woman who cut ties with you, kidnapping her and forcing an abortion on her. That is what this kind of premise implies here.
Also, the hierarchy was abolished long before the US remade the country in their image. It's true they were the impulse for it, but the Japanese handled it themselves.
I dunno, this guy couldn't have left some sort of secret second will that explained everything to everyone? He must of known that if something happened to him, everything would unravel and they would all be left guessing...
You mean something like the locket they opened last chapter that had a picture of Nagisa and her paramour in it? The one that was completely tarnished after over a decade in the ocean? The one that almost gave the old lady a heart attack when she saw it because she realized that the jig was finally up? It certainly seems to support the old lady's claims.
Of course it's by no means definitive proof. After all, someone could have photoshopped a man into an old photo of Nagisa, put the doctored image into a locket, artificially weathered the locket to make it look like it had been lying on the sea floor for sixteen years, and then left in in the seaside cave in hopes that it would be found by some random passerby. Personally though, I think that all seems a little far fetched. Occam's razor suggests that the old lady is telling the truth.
I really cant blame the actual dad for fleeing. He saw her house and went "Shit! She is a Yakuza, the daugther of a crime family!". It takes a lot of guts to get involved with a family with ties to organized crime, so when he tought thats the way things were going he decided to escape while he still could. This is really on her for keeping her family circumstances a secret.
