Unfortunately the non blood related route is looking more and more likely.

The line "even if someone you love betrays you, that doesn't make the values and beliefs you loved any less true" on page 13 kinda sounds like it's coming from experience, and the obvious culprit would be Yukari (his first love?).

In reality they are actually feudal lords lol. Search for daimyo. Well, in modern days they all hide their ass, pretending the US came and destroyed all the hierarchy, but if you look deep enough you will see they are still there hoarding all the resources.
Different topic. All billionaires hoard resources and throw their weight around, but that's not the same as supposedly going after a grown woman who cut ties with you, kidnapping her and forcing an abortion on her. That is what this kind of premise implies here.

Also, the hierarchy was abolished long before the US remade the country in their image. It's true they were the impulse for it, but the Japanese handled it themselves.

I dunno, this guy couldn't have left some sort of secret second will that explained everything to everyone? He must of known that if something happened to him, everything would unravel and they would all be left guessing...
Well maybe that's what the diary could help with but FMCs mom yanked it away when it mattered...

Uh-huh. Any proof of any of this, other than the old woman's unsupported word?
You mean something like the locket they opened last chapter that had a picture of Nagisa and her paramour in it? The one that was completely tarnished after over a decade in the ocean? The one that almost gave the old lady a heart attack when she saw it because she realized that the jig was finally up? It certainly seems to support the old lady's claims.

Of course it's by no means definitive proof. After all, someone could have photoshopped a man into an old photo of Nagisa, put the doctored image into a locket, artificially weathered the locket to make it look like it had been lying on the sea floor for sixteen years, and then left in in the seaside cave in hopes that it would be found by some random passerby. Personally though, I think that all seems a little far fetched. Occam's razor suggests that the old lady is telling the truth.

I really cant blame the actual dad for fleeing. He saw her house and went "Shit! She is a Yakuza, the daugther of a crime family!". It takes a lot of guts to get involved with a family with ties to organized crime, so when he tought thats the way things were going he decided to escape while he still could. This is really on her for keeping her family circumstances a secret.

By the way at this point of the story we got just a single thing for sure: we are in a parallel dimension where condoms were never invented.

He didn't take responsibility. The kid still grew up without a father, the only difference is whom she directed her disdain against. The whole premise is nonsense anyway. Japanese fiction loves to paint their wealthy families as some sort of feudal lords that wield power to challenge the nation itself and can only be opposed by their own kind (and it's almost never written as a horrendous society to live in). In reality all it would take is for the girl to move away from her family home and cut ties to do as she pleases here.
I think you’re underestimating how hard it would be for a single woman in her position to strike out on her own, keep in mind all of her friends and relatives are going to be under the influence of the family, cutting the family off may well mean starting from zero.

The story so far insists that he actually loved Yuzu's mother and that is corroborated by the fact that he wasn't willing to give up his ability to marry her. Yet we're also told he actually tried to play family with MC's mother for years. I don't think the author came up how to get out of this one without it being just a common case of a double life yet. :pacman:
Maybe he loved them both, just like his children who also love each other

Yuzu is definitely also not Kazuomi's daughter, Naomi is his only child, Yuzu is from her Mother with someone else as her father.
Agree, I think Kenzo was (also) talking about him and Yukari when he made his little speech about your loved ones betraying you.

And then he presumably did the same thing with Naomi’s mom, completing the trauma cycle

Yes, that is the expectation. It's what many young women do every year. No one ever said it's easy to be a single mother without support, but since her family collapsed, it wouldn't have been much different than it turned out to be.
