There's also a series just called Himegoto. I chuckled when I first saw this series name because it made me think of Himegoto and Kakushigoto.

I wouldn't be surprised if Grandpa intervenes to protect his son-in-law's dignity or some other family secret. Like, he wouldn't oppose to the two of them marrying but would still be an opponent when it comes to digging around too much.

I think this is the likely endgame.

If this is the case, then Yuzuru isn't blood-related, and then Naomi marrying her would make him the legit heir while saving face because the affair doesn't have to be talked about. Naomi would just seem like a random guy Yuzuru picked to marry.

You just found out your dad had an affair and another family, whose son now lives in your home, and then you find out that you weren't even your dad's real daughter this entire time, and that son is more "real family" to your dad than you are.

The other people are not directly related to her or her mother. They are her aunt and uncle respectively. Even if that was not the case, hair color is a polygenic phenomenon, even though it was considered to follow the classic Mendelian model for a long time.

It makes the most logical sense at this point, author could be dropping a false flag Chekhov Gun but it seems unlikely. The mother genuinely cares about Yuzu as shown in the kidnapping conclusion but is also distant(?) with her for, as of now unseen reasons. Political marriage is most likely given how the family cites his dedication to the company, so perhaps Kazuomi knew Yuzu's mom already had a lover beforehand as others here have speculated, Yuzu being born from union with the lover father and for all we know he could very well be dead too or ran off. The audience doesn't get to hear the majority of Ueda's mom's meeting story with Kazuomi either, like what reason would a rich guy even be wandering the streets to end up defending some bar owner gal? Pehaps agonizing over a loveless marriage to a woman with a lover, then taking out his frustrations? I don't know but it's convenient, Kazuomi finds a loving partner under a different name while retaining his political marriage's face and also it explains why Yuzu's mom is so accepting. Once Yuzu was brought into the picture Kazuomi probably had a lot of conflicting feelings, justifying both the distance and the awkwardness of sending letters between "family" in the same house, suddenly he had to be "dad" to his wife's lover's kid. Of course this would be kinda sad for Yuzu but Kazuomi still tried to love her in his own way and her mom still tried to make things appear stable, with family vacations or not leaving her wanting for material things. On paper Yuzu may be the heir to the Tanemori business, yet by blood Ueda is its legitimate heir, I can't speak to Kazuomi's intent but he probably worked long and hard to find a way to resolve it all in a way nobody needed to be hurt too badly. Despite it all, the Tanemori household seems pretty nice and welcoming for a big conglomerate home, nobody outright hates Ueda they just don't know him like they know Yuzu. Like I say, it would be convenient if it's like that but it allows for the author to toe that contoversial incest line or regular bro/sis relationship, while also delivering a wholesome boy meets girl scenario.
