Goto had only just met Hinata and his first instinct was to sacrifice himself to save her. A good side-character, for once.

It is aerosol can. As you spray it, the can gets colder but the pressure from the nozzle reduced. E.g. your rexona can or green gas from your airsoft. Press it continuously and it gets realy cold. I did such experiment in Uni to observe sensitivity and calibrating of thermo camera. Although it is not 0⁰ C cold, if you combine it with water and salt, the cold will stay longer.

Edit: Oh i was wrong. It could get lower than 0⁰ with a modified nozzle after google it.

page 14: 薄明 (hakumei) does mean "twilight," but i would prefer if the english transliteration of his name was used. now id like to point out this detail creates some thematic name contrast with hinata because her name means "sunshine".
page 16: 不明 (fumei) is translated as "unknown", which is one of its meanings, but not the one in this context. literally it means "no light," and they're talking about hinata's vision here, so hakumei is saying "but hinata's blind."
page 25: not really an actual nitpick because i think the term i'm talking about is reasonable to not know because it only really comes up in paranormal and conspiracy contexts, and the text is cut off. but on where it says "MA is?" on the newspaper cutout, the entire thing probably says "Is it an UMA?". UMA stands for "unidentified mysterious organism", meaning cryptids.
page 45: まなつ/真夏 (manatsu) is more specifically "midsummer".
page 52: 死別 (shibetsu) may have 死 (death) in it, but it does not simply mean killed. it means "separated by death", which implies only one of the two siblings is going to die. so yes, this has a tragic ending, but given the flash-forward in the beginning of the chapter, i am going believe and hope that hinata is the one who survives.

my thoughts on things from the actual manga
it doesn't come through in the translation, but hinata's dialogue is 99 percent in hiragana. it shows how innocent and unknowing she is. i also interpret it as her not having learned to read because of being blind and the apocalypse.
goto mentions it's "always cold", which is probably because there is no sunlight from the sky being dark. he and hinata are very likely wearing thick winter clothes because of this. hakumei, however, is unusually wearing an outfit that looks very similar to a male student's summer school uniform. how human of him to not have hypothermia at this point.
page 20 with the smashing onomatopoeia has so fucking good lettering. the english fonts match super well. typesetter, you did really great.
if goto's "scent leaked out" and if he was getting worked up to try and hide his nervousness the moment before, does this mean the monsters can sense human fear? also when i read that, i thought for a moment that it meant goto let out a nasty fart and the monster fucking hated it.
it all started in may 1999, huh... sounds like Nostradamus's apocalypse prophecy. Hinata looks kindergarten-aged, so I guess she was born when all this started.
yes very normal to not know what a flat tire sounds like at a point in your life where you look like a student. very reasonable given the apocalypse.
