But if you're not clear why people dislike MTL, just read the chapter. It's awkward, it feels disconnected from one sentence to the next, and generally reads like it was written by someone who didn't really know what was going on. Which is what an MTL generally is, since the software doesn't have context. Look at pages 9 and 10 of this chapter, for example. Hino-san vacillates weirdly between knowing that she's in Koguma's body and also trying to convince herself of it. Even if this chapter hadn't said it was a MTL at the start, I'd have known from reading it. There's evidently been some adjustment since it uses some wordings a machine wouldn't, but if MTL tools are to be used the human correction needs to be much more rigorous and thorough.

(Reading smoothly in English doesn't make it an accurate translation either, since that can be faked by both humans and MTL, but the clunkiness is a common problem).

There are plenty of series on here that are MTL'd and are fine. Also how is this chapters lines bad? They flow correctly and make sense(Outside of that 1 panel in chapter 10 which is admitedly reversed).
Also to "your so anti-mtl part" how can you not realise what he wrote was highly combatitive for no reason. Could have just said something like "MTL? blocking this uploader" or something like that not the "more MTL bullshit. fuck off" he wrote.

Yes on Page 10 there is a snaffu of one panel being that it was reversed but I've seen alot of actual jp-en translations make that mistake too so you know.... Could it be better proofread and all that? Sure. Is it unreadable garbage? No.

I hope so, it feels so off for a fluffy rom-com to suddenly go supernatural. Not even close to dropping it but I guess yeah for a ch100 I can see something like that.

Agreed, it feels really off. I’m choosing to pretend this is some mini spin-off side story that’s not part of the main story to help me cope.

Also this chapter was up for like a few hours 2 days ago then mysteriously disappeared, so I guess it got taken down for some reason.

The chapters got deleted, because the original poster wasn't part of either of the groups (Cyan Steam and Chads no Teikoku) and the site rules state that you aren't allowed to upload chapters of a locked group.

1.3.1 If a release has one group and this group has enabled upload restrictions, only their group members may upload it. Users who deliberately circumvent group upload restrictions will have their chapter uploading privileges restricted.

They're not stupid, they're to prevent troll releases. If anyone can upload a chapter claiming it's part of that group, readers would trust it to be the same quality as the rest of that group's uploads. The uploader originally uploaded it saying it was from Cyan Stream, but they aren't part of Cyan Stream. Now it's been re-uploaded with a group named after the uploader/translator.

It wasn't a troll in this case, but the quality was not remotely as good as Cyan Stream's releases usually are.

You're mixed up. The real Cyan Steam versions of Chapters 101–103 were uploaded, then taken down. This upload is a different release entirely.
