hopefully he nora to sesshus yamadaI really feel like Yamada just needs to be shelved until Shinzo can figure out some kind of an angle with him because even after all this time I really don't have any feel for what his actual character or personality is beyond being a store brand Hiroto. There's nothing at all compelling about him that makes me want to read his chapters or learn more about him, he's not really funny, he doesn't really have many facets to his personality and the attempts to give him some (like this chapter) ring hollow because he's just treading ground that other characters already are but way better than him. Like why should I care about his artist's block compared to Natsumi's where her art and the struggles associated with it are more central to her character than it is for Yamada?
I enjoy reading about every other character in the series from Hiroto to the author but Yamada really just adds nothing and I can't think of a single story he's been in that's been enhanced by his presence. All he's really done so far is bring Akari down as a character and push her into being kind of annoying. Unless that is the point where he's just kind of a nothing and yet his presence is more disruptive than anything, I don't know.
I thought for myself "aha! So Yamada is the type who can't draw good art when he is happy! That's a delicious nugget of info. I know this type of people, they're interesting to observe"I really feel like Yamada just needs to be shelved until Shinzo can figure out some kind of an angle with him because even after all this time I really don't have any feel for what his actual character or personality is beyond being a store brand Hiroto. respectfully fuck off with that idea.hopefully he nora to sesshus yamada
have him get akari pregnant then promise to take care of her then run away leading to akari raising her child with no help, then having to rely on prostitution to make ends meet while resenting her daughter
I thought at the start of this chapter that he was going to be made out to be a bad guy, which would actually give him a distinguishing trait and give some progression to the more distinct characters. He really feels like the type of character to get discarded for the sake of advancing the main cast. I dont dislike him, but he's really got nothing going on, and I think that a chapter focusing on him is a boring chapter (very much unlike any of the other main or side characters).I really feel like Yamada just needs to be shelved until Shinzo can figure out some kind of an angle with him because even after all this time I really don't have any feel for what his actual character or personality is beyond being a store brand Hiroto.
