Really digging your own grave here Adachi. So assuming you need a life left in order to escape the game (can’t escape if you’re dead dead.), the fact that he opened up with saying he doesn’t care about your lives while placing bombs everywhere means the optimal move is actually to step on a mine and restart without him while checking on if he’s S rank during the second retry. Giving him leader is a complete setup for him taking all of your spare lives for himself. Since you can fall out of S rank you just need to schedule your last match to maintain it before the final battle.
Everyone having meta knowledge of the game also means they can freeze him out of team setups as the ranks rise and not have to deal with him in S rank as another precaution.

This whole bomb scenario seems dumb too now that I've stopped focusing on how bad an argument "I don't care if you die, now give me control of your lives when you can just retry this later instead." is for him being able to blackmail anyone into letting him be leader.

Everyone should be immediately dressed up after a boss monster stomped on them if only because there's a danger of something else showing up. There should should be some sort of reasonable gameplay counter against the bombs too, but I guess cheap BS tactics are reasonable for a #1 to use despite the fact that various tactics like berserk abuse have been adjusted to make for a more balanced gameplay experience.

And wasn't he the number one player? Couldn't he just lead with that and let people vote for him out of ignorance to his true personality?
I'm not even mad at Akiba for being a sociopath right now, I'm mad at him for being so incompetent.
