With how easily the "I won't fix the sword" subplot got resolved, it should have been left in the drafts. It doesn't even serve as cheap drama like this.

Maybe if she had barely won with the cleaver, gone back all battered to ask again, and that plus the kids is enough to guilt him into it, but "hey, we fixed the sword and were rushing it to you just in time for your fight" is a little too formulaic.

What a chapter 😩 As a grown woman it genuinely doesn't bother me that this is almost cookie-cutter shounen because the amount of progression fantasy/action that casually features sapphic leads, especially outside of cultivation is almost non-existent (please do yourself and read sapphic cultivation novels, it scratches the 'badassery' itch and tickles the heart).

Also, folks are mad about the GL tag and the lack of current romantic progression but like...you aren't reading a romance, you're reading action featuring characters who can be attracted to each other. If you want fawning, blushing etc in the first five chapters then read a Romance story lol. It's silly as hell to complain about a lack of explicit romance progression in a series that doesn't even claim to focus on it. Everybody reading this understands the two leads probably get together, don't expect typical shoujo-ai romance beats and tropes during the journey unless you want to be disappointed 🤷🏻‍♀️

I respect the old blacksmith’s stubborn pride, but I hope he changes his ways soon. His old-fashioned principles only work under certain conditions. While he is right about not repairing swords used against people ex. murder or crimes, etc...., this stance is contradictory. If he had done more background checks on why the FMC used her sword and not through the kids telling him stories that she is a good person despite how she uses her sword, she wouldn’t have struggled against that murderer. This causes the cliffhanger of the real beginning climax of the fight. I'm annoyed, but well whatever the author wants it to be. I'm just a reader anyway. What can I do? Send complaints to redo the chapters. Hell no... Life as a mangaka is already tough as it is.
