I'll interpret that as a separate manga in the same universe, with an FL childhood friend who has no idea Usa just scored with the shark girl. (Side note, that title is being unfairly maligned. People are mad that they expected cotton candy but got drama anchovies instead.)
That's funny, because I dropped both Dangers and Komi for the same reasons. Authors need to find a way to naturally take the "will-they won't-they" tension and turn it into "Here's all the tension with new relationships." It's not like there aren't obvious obstacles to high school couples (Picking a college, getting railed by the job market, having underdeveloped teenager brains, etc.) And you just mentioned "It's a little late" which is honestly doing a lot to stay interesting but is somehow pissing people off.
