If you wanna get technical, it was the size of a small baloon, and it blew up bouncing upwards while her hand caught most of the water. Which is why she likely apologized to her senpai because he was more at head level when it happened. After that, I guess the amount of water wasn't enough to actually make it see-through. Textile industry must be getting better at this.

Mixed bathing cannot possibly be so culturally accepted in Japan, and it simply does not ring true that parents of any culture would just blindly sign off on their progeny hooking up with the first person they bring home. It's one of the more aggravating and unrealistic tropes in romance manga.
