They're basically stuck in the trenches of WW1 with no hope in sight, but I have a feeling that they're going to ignore their own near death experiences just to get mad at Haruka and crew for killing the people that tried to kill them. Or he's going to nearly kill all of them, then they'll do that stupid ass trope of "noooo, don't kill them, that's not nice," while preventing him from finishing the job, leading to the escaping people causing more trouble for them down the line by bringing in reinforcements/their superiors or whatnot.

It is weird how they struggle while having cheat skills and being level 100 while most humans are low level in comparison. It makes me think they've not built the world enough to understand why they are struggling as much as they are.

Beside that, Prez pretty much helping ok most of the time. Also do not forget it's been only few months from when they were regular Japan students, you cant adjust your thinking that fast. MC was able to do it because of skills. Other girls all also gag characters, a bit annoying, but still adorable, dunno
