Why did he suddenly start giving a shit?

I mean, they spoke to him, but he spoke back?!

Did I not just read 24 chapters of this dude telling himself that anybody who talks to him is a fucking moron for the crime of speaking?

And then he now talks back to them when they speak?!

This whole time he has been silent and ignores anybody who talks, followed by cowering on the ground when a girl talks, except when he doesn't, and then thinks about how fucking dumb anybody is when they speak to him, while ignoring them... and now he acts like a real human person for no fuckin reason?!

Did a child write this?

Hmm, so it seems that the author wants to deal with the classmates early. Usually it's dragged out where the MC levels up and wonders alone for a while until he meets up with his classmates again and then he deals with them. But it seems the first arc of this manga is just dealing with the classmates.
