That would literally make him weaker. He has cane arts not sword arts.....also any metal gear requires a minimum of level 20 to wield if I recall correctly. This is why he's stuck wearing cloth and wielding the same cane for so long. (Though the cane is actually kinda fucking broken. All his gear is. Villager Set A is WAY more powerful then it lets on and on top of that can be used from level 1 making it hard to ever replace for a guy who took like 300-400 chapters to reach level 20 just so he can equip some basic ass gear to see how much worse it is at killing goblins.)

the fight is at least 3-5 chapters. Its safe to say, unless novel readers prove me wrong since I don't read moon runes, MC kills him *deals the final blow with a blunt hit on the head*
To anyone interested, I'm currently reading the latest translation on the LN which coincidentally starts (its a long read) on the goblin king/emperor fight up to his fight with Tanaka. I still don't get, who that guy is. First I thought he is one of the four geeks (that one with the glasses and lighter hair.), but then I realized, that he has a different hair style and looks to be taller.
