Particularly in the manga right now I'd say you are certainly right about not trying to do many things. Though the manga skips through several bits. The biggest act of trying to pay him back so far was them running through 50+ levels of the hardest dungeon in the frontier and nearly dying in an attempt to rescue him. Otherwise including in the WN they KEEP TRYING to do something to help him but every time they find something to do (fighting the orc swarm without him as an example) they prepare themselves for it they set themselves up.....and then he comes from where the trouble they are supposed to fix is and he already dealt with it. By the point I read in the web novel they've somewhat decided the best ways to repay him are just looking happy and almost tricking him into fanservice for him while supporting Angelica as best they can, because his skill set keeps getting wider and he keeps doing more for them while all they have is strength and while he DOES have a limit to his strength every time it seems like they are catching up to him he suddenly does something absurd. If it seems like he's falling behind, becoming weaker, pushing himself too hard....give him a week and he'll somehow find a way to completely invalidate the concept of strength.
The best signs of that kinda just get skipped over here, for some reason the manga keeps skipping absurdity like remodeling the dungeons he's walking through while exploring, forming large rollers the size of the dungeon hallway and just rolling through his enemies, forming a pesticide out of poison mushrooms and blowing it through the dungeon, freezing the water fish monsters are in, killing evil eye monsters by reflecting their gaze back. The only real sign of it in this version was his invalidating physical and magical immunity directly.....the solution is there are 2-3 puzzle rooms they are supposed to solve while fighting the infinitely respawning minions to turn off his overpowered features.....I'd go through more of these but I can't recall if all of these are from this dungeon or from some of the later ones he goes through.

I know he also uses his power to make minions to take control of a number of magical scythes or swords that fly around. Then uses them to cut the grass around his house and hold back the expansion of the demon forest....and gather mushrooms for him....and keep the monster populations down around the forest.

@newmangareader246 nah, it's cause she want's to monopolize his love, while also being a massive pain in both his and the readers' asses. She's just a cunt, and she treats him so poorly for no real reason. Just because her intentions are good doesn't mean they justify her actions, and her actions make her a major annoyance.
