I checked the raws, and it says "中華でもいい？"
Which rougly translates to "Can I have Chinese?"
So yes, they were at a Chinese Restaurant, apparently.

Cool, thanks for checking. Looking at it again the design of the building did sort of look Chinese and the waitresses had those hair buns.

Nohara's folks have probably got a pretty decent image of Haruki. After all, Nohara, or rather Satsuki since the whole family would be Nohara, would have told her family that Haruki never asks anything in return and that's troubling her. So, the parents would know Haruki doesn't have any dubious intentions toward Satsuki.
