I can feel it. That fluffy-sugary feeling I felt back then when I read the LN. I can feel it again!

Thanks for the scans, o' great elephant and hydra.

And stop stabbing each other. Unless... that is your fetish.

@Needhydra Thanks for the chap. I had just come back to reread after the LN.

A few notes about chp5-6. Ritz used a blunderbuss to shoot the rabbit. It would be an easy shot and explains the multiple hits. It was a popular and handy firearm through the mid 1800s for frontiersmen. In chp6 Ritz has a winchester 1866, while Sieg seems to have a Sharps carbine. Both popular and extensively exported.

The time period seems to be early 1870s after the Prussian wins over the French, Danish, and Austrians. This explains Siegs extensive military history.

The ageing meat thing is still gross though. Almost like the innuit Kiviak.

@viherkogen I dont remember the multiple hits from the blunderbuss. He still needs to aim properly with it. I still say the sights are missing.

Thanks for identifying the sharps, I havent read the novels.

Honestly, the one thing that bothers me is his hunting reindeer, medium-big game, with a .44 Henry, a notoriously weak cartridge. I had missed the Sharps, but a 50-70 would make way more sense for that prey, even if the repeater allows for missing shots from the sledge.
