Alternatively -- get makeup etc. done and see how you look before making a decision, because otherwise the comparison isn't fair. A lot of "ugly" girls just lack confidence.

True of a lot of self-described "ugly" guys too. A 3 or 4 can be made a 6 to 8 if you talk to someone with makeover skills.

I know that the author intention is that the mc doesn't want to turn back to a guy yet. But imo, it's because she is seeing all the possible side effect and get scared lol. When my doctor prescribed me medication, one of the side effect was breaking down of muscle, and pissing blood; that was scary to hear from a doctor. Now to turn from girl to guy with just pill? Yeah I'm not taking any chances lol.
