Wait..whose parents?
I'm 95% sure it's the woman's parents.
  1. The joke makes more sense if it's her parents, since she's the one putting the guy through a "trial". It turns out that instead of some mystical gauntlet, it's something pretty mundane (but still stressful). Also, the reveal that her immortality is (or might be) genetic instead of from mysticism can be a small gag as well.
  2. I put it through machine translation, and the third panel translated to "My Parents!!". And since she's been the speaker the whole time, it makes me think it's her parents.
  3. In a meet-the-parents scenario, it'd be the kid of the parents encouraging the newcomer like that. She wouldn't want boyfriend saying "You've got a point there, maybe I shouldn't do this..."

Also, the parents have details, unlike the (OoO) man, but like her.

The translation is "wrong" per se, but it's hard to convey the meaning given the ambiguity of the Japanese. The second panel reads "You must make (X) acknowledge you" where (X) is omitted based on how Japanese works, and in the usual context (X) would be "me" (as assumed by the translation). However, the third panel reveals that the full context is "You must make them acknowledge you... My parents!" which is the bait-and-switch.

Edit: In English it could be something like "You must first be acknowledged... by my parents!" But it doesn't really convey the me/them twist that well, I think.

maybe it would flow better if first pane using 'us' and 'we' ?

i.e. "Are you enchanted by us?"
"We, who live for a thousand years..."
"Then you must make us acknowledge you." (implied some kind of trial)

"It'll be fine! Right?!"

The equivalent of your senior suddenly going, 'it'll be all good, right????', when you're still entry level. If you're asking me, things have gone so wrong, that we're both fucked.
