I've got alot to say about this chapter...
So Mai wasn't really wrong about the 'real Yuu' that i so much criticized her for thinking of. Sure, she didn't get it completely right, though. He's not the "uneasy twink and gentle" at all, much of that behavior of his comes from the bullying he suffer, and by the small background we saw of it on this chapter, it was pretty bad. Yuu's found a refuge in his other self which was being nurtured, like Shin said.
Mai needs to make him understand that the YU who fights is not the only alternative to resolve himself with the past yu who was bullied and took what others said about him for granted. He deserves to be loved, he's not a fag, either.
What i can expect as an ending is Yuu coming to terms with himself and realizing it isn't violence which fixes his live, it isn't necessarily strength, but rather love. Sure, he'll keep getting stronger, but with the core reasons for that, how will his progression go? will he keep fighting and making a name for himself on the streets? I'm curious to know, i think he and mai are a pretty good pair.
I'm more invested in his whole development as a person and his knowledge of himself rather than him winning his fights, which the author makes sure he does. (kinda reminds me of the Yu boxer from "the boxer" manhwa, maybe the author inspired on holyland a bit)
