She better have leveled up from killing the dragon. Its a compete logic flaw, aka a plot hole, if she didn't. Has to be attacked directly? If magic works, then that leaves ANYTHING ok for lvl ups. Magic by its most basic understandings could never be considered a direct attack. True otakus would understand what I'm saying here, so I ain't getting into the massive breakdown of 'why' it's not a direct attack. It just isn't, end of story.
