Kinda hamfisted and edgy, I prefer the development where she hides and escapes, maybe killing someone on her way out. But maybe we’ll get some comfy fantasy adventuring with the undead companion for a few chapters.

Does make me wonder,though,had she not killed her,and simply dumped her off at an orphanage,would she grow up talking to Hugo the whole time,never inheriting his powers?,would he tell her how to gain said powers?,an interesting alternate timeline for sure.
