I thank you ever so much.

Myne might say it's difficult to explain, but it's actually really easy. She could just say the lightbulb works by the power of lightning passing through metal and leave it at that.
Yeah that's the explanation given in the LNs but she gets distracted and it ends up a big mess

It’s…theoretically possible. I was gonna say it can’t work but they have spells to control air and fire so it’d be possible to keep a warm air bubble around the user.
Probably tried, but it either got too cold, air got to thin, or they ran out of mana. It's pretty far to our moon, even when it's directly overhead (about 248,000 miles). I doubt even Ferdinand could fly his magic beast stone that far in one go even without the other 2 problems (no air and no heat).

Mana armor does keep the user from getting cold so he’d probably just need air. Space is about 100 kilometers up. Not sure how fast high beasts go but I’ve seen estimates that the country is somewhere between the size of Argentina and Africa. Africa is about 7,500 km across. One character travels about half that distance in a day so that’d be a travel time of about 300 km/hour. So it’d take him 20 minutes to reach space And about 16 days to reach the moon. Though math isn’t my specialty

Surely in a magical society where ppl can fly (esp head priest), sm1 has to have tried flying to the moon?

You guys are probably mistaken. It's likely that the moon in that world isn't a place that can be travelled to or landed on. That is to say, there might not be a giant astral object orbiting the planet. Outer space might not exist. For all we know, the world might not even be round. Astronomy there doesn't work according to our logic.

In a Q&A fanbook, the author stated that the stars in the sky wander around aimlessly without a pattern, instead of being glued to their position in the rotating "vault" like on Earth. <-[World nature/physics spoiler]

As someone who has read the entire LN series and understands some things about that world, it's seems to me likely that the night sky was created for the experience of the night sky and is purely cosmetic.
