@crea24 There was a scanlation group translating it called "Easy Going Scans" translating the series from ch 1 up to ch 20, though I guess they didn't upload those chapters here because.. reasons.

@Pokeroots Back when Mangadex was still in development, there was less control for scanlators so only the uploader can edit the upload. EGS wants total control of their uploaded stuff and because some people uploaded their chapters here (which they can't edit freely), they just pulled the plug.

Would it be possible to at least post links to the chapters on easygoing scans so the chapter list doesn't look so empty? I know some translators don't want their work released for a certain amount of days so there's a countdown next to the chapters and a link to the translator's website, the same could be done here, just with a very high countdown like 9999 days until release or something.

@diaboros unfortunately not, if a group does not want their release here, there's no way to post anything to the chapter list. We can't even post a "fake" chapter with one page saying "please visit this link to read" because it's against MangaDex's rules.

That said however, if I have the time to, I will make a low quality version exclusively to MangaDex so people won't have to go to EGS, if they can tolerate my low quality TL that is

@macarroiz Unfortunately, this is right. I'm helping to clean the previous chapters and RonBWL is translating them, so they will eventually be posted (once TL/PR/finalizing is finished).

For the time being, chapters 1-20 have been translated by Easy Going Scans, so if you want to read the story up to the most recent translations here, you'll need to go to their site.

Welp. Translations for the... WN? or was it LN?... have STOPPED because it got licensed. The good news about it getting licensed is that we can contribute to the author. The bad news about it getting licensed is the wait time for it to reach where we left off AND the fact that these stories never reach my country....


I am pretty much out of luck. Hopefully the manga translations keep going -_-

One of the reason why people don't want their chapter uploaded to mangadex is because there's no ad here. Batoto has ad and the earning can be set to the scanlator or to Batoto to help server cost. Delayed chapters is the middle ground so the scanlator can at least gain traffic to their website. I'm not saying this is the reason EGS decided to bail out, just mentioning it since someone compared mdex with batoto.

@Truerror So every single manga with children needs a loli/shota tag now? If you sexualize it, then it is your own imagination... I would prefer if there was no loli tag there since the manga doesnt sexualize the charackters in any way (until now at least).
It may even scare some new readers, who find sexual content with children disgusting, away.

The loli tags doesn't mean sexual, I believe it just mean about "Young/Little Girl" in this case.

Lolita and loli are terms used to portray young girls as "precociously seductive."
If it was not sexual then why would you even need the Loli tag? I mean you wouldnt use the term "shota" for "Crayon Shin-Chan" or "Ganbare, Kickers!". Those two terms (shota/loli) are ONLY used in a sexual way!
You would need to attach those two terms to every single manga that has children in it to "make" those terms desexualized (while the initial definition would still not change). And why did he not ask for the shota tag as well then?
I, for example, have the tag shota turned "x" in the "to show" options. And I would turn the loli tag "x" too if there were not too many borderline mangas that are still quite nice, even though I find sexualization of children disgusting. So I would miss out on this manga if such a tag appeared!

Well, if those children are the focus of the story (as in they're the main character, or secondary characters that show up almost all the time), then yes.

As for your examples of Shinchan and Kickers, yes I WOULD put a shota tag on both. No, I'm not trying to sexualize them in any way. Do you think there's anything sexual in this manga? Yet it has a loli tag.

Says who? Wikipedia? I mean, Wikipedia is useful, but quoting it... I could go there right now and change the entire definition. Would that make the terms non-sexual then?

Language is flexible anyway. Hell, apparently people now use the word "lit" to refer to something exciting or amazing. I'm pretty sure that's not how you're supposed to use that word, but people do it anyway. Same goes with "loli". The meaning has changed.

For me, since I also find sexual content with little girls disgusting, the tag I avoid is not "loli", but a combination of "loli" and "ecchi" or "smut". Those I avoid like the plague.

@Truerror My interpretation of Horror is that it funny. Next time I will just ask for someone to put a horror-tag on Crayon Shin-chan.
And I will ask for a yaoi tag for every romance manga I see, since SOME gay people interprete romance as something that only occurs between the same gender.
Just throw all of the definitions out of the window and create your own language! Where you change the meaning of "food" to a "toilet".

Every site, that I have been on, that deals with the definition of the word "loli", has an implication that it is sexualized. Even the etymology shows that it is sexual.
We are on a platform that has many people visiting it and it should use a language/terms that are mostly agreed upon (and I dont mean english or italian or whatever) and understood by everyone. If everyone would use their definition of some words that nobody else understands then what would be the point to use tags anyway?

In all fairness, Loli is only associated to manga with cute little girls alongside some much older dude who more or less acts as their guardian (and in rare case, love interest), ranging from high schooler to even middle aged men. There's none of that in HnG since Myne & Lutz are of the same age.

Loli and shota are about sexualized kids. Stop putting it on manga that aren’t about that. It’s easy. The term loli literally comes from a novel about this. It’s not a generic “little girl” term.
