@goodhunter To be really fair, choices only existed recently and people would normally have worked at a younger age.
It's easy to forget, but the situation we have is technically quite new in human history.
Hell, just less than 20 years ago, it wasn't that unusual for people to have stopped at a high school degree. During these 20 years, enrollment increased by 80% in the US.
So we are trying to change several thousand years of habits in this new generation that has possibly the most changes and evolutions of our society than most of history.
